Step back from that Lidge my friend

With the addition of Brad Lidge from Houston, loyal Phillies fans who were previously very close to the edge after the postseason are happy again. With the addition of Lidge the Phillies accomplished two goals. One strengthening the rotation with Myers returning to the rotation and also suring up the back end of the bullpen. This was a terrific move for the Phillies. However, it is not suprising, considering who the GM of the Astros is. General Ed Wade is in command and ready to bring the once proud Astros organization to the ground. Ed Wade who was more famous for getting rid of stars than aquiring them is now in the process of doing the same thing with the Astros. I say Astros fans should jump now and save themselves the misery. Phillies '08 just got off to a good start, and it's exciting to see what the next move is going to be, maybe a little Tejada, or Cabrera, while not likely anyone with the first name Miguel will do.

They Didn't Need Him

They don't need TO...as he runs and celebrates in the end zone flapping his arms in celebration. They don't need him Donte Stallworth as he breaks a tackle for the undefeated Patriots and runs into the end zone. We don't need him is the Eagles slogan. Well it looks like we needed them with the lackluster offense and the defense that used to bend and not break, now lost its spine it has been bent so many times. We don't need him looks to be the slogan for this coaching staff the way this team is performing. Maybe it is time to take a step back and realize that we do need these players and that this team needs to go out and get them. Whether it is through the draft or free agency. Wake up EAGLES your letting down your fans and your city, it would be nice if the QB didn't give up 14 pts to the other team pretty much on his own.
